HISTORY
The Virginia Tech Colony was officially launched on November 13, 1999 with a strong group of twenty-four quality men associated. Nearly ninety-three years after the foundation of Phi Kappa Tau a new tradition was born that day. After two successful rushes the men expanded their brotherhood to include thirty-two members. January 2001 the Virginia Tech colony received notification that it had been voted to receive its charter from the national headquarters after more than a year of dedicated and devoted work from the brotherhood. The Founding Fathers, Alpha, Beta, and Gamma classes all joined in the signing of the document February 17, 2001. From that day forth those gentlemen represented The Epsilon Chi Chapter of Phi Kappa Tau. The Epsilon Chi chapter is Phi Kappa Tau’s 143rd chartered chapter and stands strong among the other distinguished chapters around the country. There is no telling what the future holds for the Epsilon Chi chapter. After winning several IFC awards and obtaining a house on Oak Lane the Phi Taus are showing why it is such a prestigious honor to be a Phi Tau Man.
Recruitment
Rush season is upon us. We encourage you to come out to our events and meet the brothers.
What is rush? "Rush", for those of you that don't yet speak Greek, is the recruitment process for fraternities. It includes you getting to know us, and us getting to know you. At the end of rush (recruitment), you may receive a bid to join Phi Tau. Good luck!
Interested? Email Matt Quinn for details or visit our rush page for event dates.
